Blind Lizard 2012
June 17, 2012 in Events & Meetups, Motorcycles
A couple months ago I tore apart the “Killer Norton” fastback to get it ready for Blind Lizard. Steve help me with my top end and I paint it. The engine was a mixed bag of parts that needed to be sorted out. It took us a little time but eventually got it done. Painting was 1 day of prep and 1 day of paint in my garage. I decided on going with an original red color by using a sample part for matching. it was my first time shooting a tri-color and wasn’t too tuff. I finished wet sanding the night before for the Father’s Day ride in with Brian, Jack and Joe to Blind Lizard. We me the wives and kids there and had a great time even though it rained. I got a chance to met the guy that owned the “Killer Norton” before I did and got the whole story behind it. He’s going to get me some parts, pictures and history that he has on the bike. More details to come on the Killer Norton.
The plan next year is to get the Spirit of America Eagle sidecar ready for a family ride to Blind Lizard. Khanh will be riding in the sidecar with me and Jess riding her 60s ND Police Vespa.
